On Saturday, January 20th, 2018 Hazel(Goldrup) Gallagher passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 94.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Blanchard) Goldrup.
She was predeceased by her husband, Oscar in 1998.
Hazel was the last surviving member of her immediate Goldrup family.
Hazel is survived her children,
Elizabeth Knowles (Burton) of Lethbridge, AB, Danny Gallagher (Chantal) and Ina Abernethy (John) both of South Tetagouche.
Six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
Hazel lived a long and healthy life. With a sharp tongue and mischievous nature, she would tell everyone, just call me Hazel Nut, now get me a glass of wine.
The family would like to express appreciation to the wonderful staff at Southern Comfort Villa where Hazel called home for the last three years.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Saturday February 17, 2018 at 10 a.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
In memory of Hazel donations to the Bathurst SPCA or a favourite charity would be appreciated by the family.
