Bathurst – Mrs. Celia Roberts, 87, wife of the late David Roberts, of King Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Monday January 29, 2018 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary B. (Melanson) Furlotte.
She worked for the former NBTel for over 25 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Association.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by four daughters: Judy Couture (Gerard) of Bathurst, Kim Good (Clint) of Big River, Paula Roberts of Bathurst and Rachel Myers (Joey) of Fredericton.
Three grandsons; Scott, Ryley and Connor. Several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was pre-deceased by a son, Kevin; brothers, Percy, John; sisters, Ruth, Josephine, Gertrude and Jeannie.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday February 1, 2018 at 4 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Donations in memory of Celia may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
