Bathurst – Mrs. Alida Roy, 83, wife of the late Eldon Roy, formerly of Vanier Blvd., Bathurst passed away on Wednesday April 11, 2018 surrounded by her family at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes, Bathurst.
Born in Athol, Mass, USA, she was the daughter of the late Theotime and Dorina (Chiasson) Caissie.
She is survived by one son, Allain Roy (Gisèle) of Funchal, Madeira Islands, Portugal.
Two daughters: Cynthia « Cindy » Roy of Tremblay and Barbara Paulin (Léon) of South Tetagouche.
Four granddaughters: Julie Roy and Hayley (James) Wood both of Los Angeles, CA, USA, Marie Lynn Paulin of Moncton and Lisa Paulin of Bathurst.
Also survived by two brothers: Peter Caissie and Jean Caissie. Two sisters: Leah Blackmore and Georgina Botting. Brother-in-law, Laurent Roy. Two sisters-in-law: Yvonne Léger and Rita Cusolito. Several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by two sisters: Thelma and Jeannette; also, three brothers: Phillip, Camille and Tom
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday April 17, 2018 at 2 p.m. from the Elhatton Funeral Chapel Bathurst. Visiting hours are Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral. The family wishes to thank the staff of Wing C at the Foyer Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes for the excellent care given to our mother.
