Charles Edward DeGrasse, of Smith St. Bathurst, passed away at his residence on January 2, 2019 at the age of 79 years. 

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Donat and late Agnes DeGrasse. 

Charles will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Jeannine (Hachey); his children: Jennifer (Alex) Romanowsky and James (Susanne) DeGrasse, grandchildren Mia, Jonah and Aaron. 

Charles will also be fondly remembered by his sisters: Cecile DeGrasse, Regina Boudreau (late Lawrence), Louise Heckbert (Paul), Denise Hachey (late George) as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. 

He was pre-deceased by sisters Clarisse, Jeannine and Alice.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral.  The family will host a celebration of his life for family and friends at "the camp" this summer.
