Bathurst - The death of Fred Dickie, 67, of Bridge St., Bathurst, occurred Saturday (June 18, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a two year battle with bone marrow disease.
He was retired as a Line Mechanic for Crown, Cork and Seal in Concord, ON
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Anderson) Dickie, formerly of Toronto
Two step-daughters:
Sandra Finagin of Bathurst
Carol Charmin (Tony Farr) of Halifax, NS
One sister:
Velma Johnston (Garry) of Etobiko, ON
One niece, Irene; two nephews, Danny & Ted, several great-nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a step-daughter, Linda.
Fred will be sadly missed by his golfing and bowling buddies and his numerous friends. Also by a special neighbor, Polly Wesenberg and her daughters Tara and Amy and son Clay.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A memorial Service will be held on Tuesday (July 5, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst, with a reception to follow.
