Georgette Duval, 75, wife of the late Wilfred Duval, died Tuesday (June 28, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Balmoral, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Arthur and Marie Hélène (Cyr) Fournier. She was an RNA and worked at the Hotel Dieu and Chaleur Regional Hospital, until her retirement. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic Women's League, Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Council 1935, Les Dames D'Acadie and many more. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Wilfred in 1992. She is survived by: Three sons: Jacques Duval (Angela) of North Tetagouche Jean Guy Duval and Bernard Duval both of Bathurst One daughter: Lucie Blanchette (Michel) of Bathurst One brother: Maurice Fournier (Juanita) of Dalhousie One sister: Lorraine Evans of Burlington, ON One sister-in-law: Emilienne Bourgeois of Port Cartier, Que. Three grandchildren, Chantal, Samuel, Jacob; several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a daughter; Denise, brothers; Sylvio, Louis and a sister; Soeur Bernadette, r.h.s.j. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday (June 30, 2005) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst.
