Bathurst – It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the death of Johnny Simmons who passed away Wednesday September 4, 2019 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 56.
Johnny will forever be remembered for his piercing blue eyes and his welcoming smile. The Simmons family will take comfort in knowing that he is finally resting next to his mom and dad who he missed so much.
Born in South Bathurst, NB Johnny was the son of the late Chesley and Gertrude (Hebert) Simmons.
He is survived by four sisters: Marion (late Albert Stever) of Moncton; Shirley Frenette (Johnny) of Beresford and Rosemarie Roy (Donald) both of Beresford; Nancy Scichilone (Pierre) of Prince George B.C.
One brother: Roger (Laurent Legacy) of Bathurst.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister Lorraine Simmons.
Special thanks to Services Résidentiels Nepisiguit Care Home, where he resided for the last 30+ years.
A private service will be held.
