Beresford - James Kinsman, 63, of Beresford and formerly of Bathurst, died Monday (July 4, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late James Sr. and Laura (Roy) Kinsman.
During his working career, he was a Police Officer for 30 years, owned and operated an Irving Gas & Convenience Store and was Chief of Security at Brunswick Mines. He was a member of the Bathurst Lions Club.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife, Mae (Doucet) Kinsman.
Two sons:
Jimmy Kinsman Jr. (Hélène Ouellette) and
Keith Kinsman (Sylvie Patenaude), both of Montreal, Que.
One daughter:
Julie Kinsman (Larry Guignard) of Beresford
One granddaughter, Vanessa
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, Walter; and a sister, Mary.
The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Funeral Home, Beresford (www.elhatton.com). Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday afternoon (July 8, 2005) at 4:00 p.m. from Holy Name of Jesus Church (Eglise St. Nom de Jesus), Beresford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 7 to 9 and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 p.m. till time of Funeral.
