Marina Doucet of Bathurst, NB passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Tuesday July 19, 2005 at the Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, NB. Born in Petit Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Laurent and Emma (Roy) Doucet. Marina is survived by Romeo, her loving husband of 43 years. She will be sadly missed by her three devoted daughters Glenda (Chris Gibson), Georgetown, Ont; Monique (Gilbert Philion), Shediac, NB; Carole Doucet of Moncton, NB. and three extra-special grandchildren, Scott, Eric and Chloe. She is also survived by three brothers, Gilbert (Loraine) of Moncton, NB.; Jean (Norma) of Saint John, NB.; Raymond (Dorina) of Petit Rocher, NB.; and three sisters, Murielle Doucet of Bathurst, NB.; Vickie Doucet of Bathurst, NB.; and Pierette Daigle of Moncton, NB. Brother-in-law, Jerry Doucet of Bathurst. She was predeceased by one sister, Elizabeth “Gigi”Doucet. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. The funeral Mass will be held from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, on Saturday morning (July 23, 2005) at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visiting hours are on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. till time of Funeral. Memorial donations may be made to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology Center).
