Bathurst - Howard Morrison, 79, of Orser Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (August 13, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Salmon Beach, he was the son of the late Roland and Violet (Watson) Morrison.
At the age of 17, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and spent eight years in the service. Following he spent several years with the Department of Transportation followed by 35 years employment with the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill. After his retirement he was involved in Politics and did much work with the local Seniors Clubs. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Bernice Lindsay.

Bill Morrison (Aline) and
Stewart Morrison (Cecilia) all of Bathurst
Six grandsons: Jeffrey, Robert, Adam, Sean, Christopher and Connor.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon (August 17, 2005) at 2:00 p.m. from the Saint George's Anglican Church, King Ave., Bathurst, with a reception to follow.
