Bathurst - Kenneth Preston Jamieson, 86, of Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Tuesday (August 23, 2005) at the Campbellton Regional Hospital.
Born in Bathurst, he was the second son of the late Peter and Sophia (Jennings) Jamieson.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Gertrude Anna (Hamilton) Jamieson, his wife of 60 years.

Three grandchildren, Kelsey, Joel & Spencer of Australia
One brother: Thomas Jamieson of Bathurst
Two sisters:
Frances MacIntosh of Fredericton
Eleanor MacIntosh of Moncton
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Everett and Cameron; and one sister, Dorothy Scott (Thomas).
Ken served in World War II with the Royal Canadian Air Force both in Canada and overseas. Ken worked at the former Consolidated Bathurst in the company garage, then taught mechanics at Bathurst High School and at the Bathurst Trade School. He was a member of the First United Church, Bathurst, the United Church Men's Club, the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst and the Retired Teachers Association.
The body will rest after 2 p.m. Saturday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday afternoon (August 28, 2005) at 3:00 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St. Burial will be in the Highland View Cemetery, Bridge St. As an expression of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to a charity of the donors choice. Visiting hours are Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A Legion Service will be held from the Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p.m.
