BATHURST ? Mrs. Lina (Godin) Charron, 87 years and 11 months, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes passed away peacefully on Friday, September 9, 2005 at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes after a lengthy illness. Born in Robertville, she was the daughter of the late Guillaume Godin and the late Marjorie Roy.
Mrs. Charron and her husband Patrick owned and operated for many years a Tourist Home in Bathurst and later added a Take Out service, where many enjoyed their delicious meals and warm hospitality.
Besides her husband, Patrick Charron of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly from Bathurst and Beresford, she is survived by:
4 sons: Fernand ( Donna Lee ) of Bathurst , Marcel (Lynn DeGrace ) of Nepisiguit Falls, Raymond of Beresford, Jacques (Lucille) of Petit Rocher,
4 daughters: Lorette Boudreau (late Lorenzo) of Bathurst , Fernande Theriault ( Pierre ) of Fredericton, Jeannine Dumas ( Moise ) of P. E. I., Janette Power ( Allie ) of North Tetagouche, 13 grandchildren and 18 great- grandchildren, 1 sister, Corinne Raymond (Gilles M.D.) of Montreal, one brother, Gerard (Jeannette ) of Quebec.
She was pre-deceased by: One infant daughter, Raymonde and one infant son Roger, two sisters: Nellie LaPlante (Emile) and Cora Levasseur ( Zenon ) both of Montreal, one brother, Abbe of Quebec.
She will be deeply missed by family and loved ones. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 4:30 pm, Tuesday, September 13, 2005 from Our Lady of the Rosary church with Mass presided over by Reverend Wesley Wade. Relatives and friends are invited to join Mrs. Charron's family for a reception immediately following the Mass in the lower level church hall.
