Bathurst - Benjamin 'Benny' Murphy, 51, of Bridge St., Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (September 24, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Mabel (Coombs) Murphy and the late Gordon Murphy. He worked at the former Smurfit Stone as a pipe fitter for 31 years. Beside his mother, of New Bandon, he is survived by his wife, Patsy (Goupil) Murphy. One daughter: Sarah Murphy at home Two brothers: Daniel Murphy (Lorraine) of Fredericton Jerry Murphy (Delcia) of Bathurst Three sisters: Dorothy Coombs (late Melvin) and Diana McLean (late Howard) both of Salmon Beach Marion McLean (Byron) of Bathurst Several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday (September 26, 2005) at 4:00 p.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Highland View Cemetery, Bridge St., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Monday from 2:00 p.m. till time of Funeral.
