Bathurst - Hector Allen, of Allison Cres., Bathurst, passed away on Friday (September 23, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness. Born in Bayfield he was the son of the late William and Mabel (Campbell) Allen. He served in World War II, with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Canada and overseas. He was retired from Brunswick Mining and Smelting. Besides his wife, Nina (Toomey) Allen, he is survived by: One son: Tim Allen of Bathurst One daughter: Nancy Allen of Calgary, AB One sister: Gertrude Barnhill of Sackville, NB Two grandchildren; Taylor and Kim. Several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held from the First United Church, St. Patrick St, at a date and time to be announced. As an expression of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Society or a charity of the donors choice.
