Romeo J. Nowlan, 81, of Beresford and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (October 22, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief illness.
Born in St. Anne de Kent, he was the son of the late Jack and Justine (Richard) Nowlan.
He was a Teacher and later Vice-principal of the Trade School on Youghall Dr., Bathurst.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, the former Martine Fournier in 1995

Two sons:
Ivan Nowlan (In Young) and
Paul Nowlan (Kirsty) both of Vancouver, BC
Four brothers:
Arsène Nowlan (Rita) of Montreal, Que., Aldori Nowlan (Alice), Arthur Nowlan (Rosina) and Lionel Nowlan (Yvonne), all of Moncton
One sister:
Germaine Deroy (Claude) of Montreal, Que.
Four grandchildren, Eric, Michelle, Janel and Ian.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by four brothers, Odilon, Aurèle, René and Gérard.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 2:00 p.m. Friday (October 28, 2005) AT Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated later that afternoon at 4:00 p.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St. Bathurst. Burial will be in the St. Anne de Kent Cemetery. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to a charity of the donors choice.
