Bathurst- Mrs. Margaret Peters, wife of the late Burns Peters, passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at the age of 86.
Born in Canobie, she was the last surviving child of the thirteen children to the late Raymond and Hilda (Ellis) Glendenning.
She is survived by six children: David (Jacynthe) of Sussex, NB, Bert (Brenda) of Salmon Beach, Gary (Néola Brown) of Bathurst, Cheryl Peters (Jason LeBlanc) of Geary, NB, Kelly (Lauren) of Sussex and Cindy Peters (Ron Sparks) both of Riverview, NB.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was a life-long member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Herman J. Good V.C. Branch No. 18 Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
As per Margaret’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Internment will take place at the Spruce Grove Union Cemetery in Bathurst in the spring.
