BERESFORD ? Raymond Bertin, 78, husband to Julienne Julien, of Beresford, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday (November 12, 2005) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Beresford August 6, 1927, he was the son of the late Alexandre and Lorina (Arseneau) Bertin.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children:
Maryse (Serge Beaumont)
Ghyslain (Angèle Pitre) and
Judith (Robert Pitre), all of Beresford
His grandchildren, Aline, Robert, Rémi, Sébastien, Mylène and Jonathan.
Brothers Angus Bertin (Lina)
Clarence Bertin (Ida) and
Rhéal (Léona), all of Beresford
Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Violette Bertin, Marie-Rose (Jean-Paul Langlois), Roger (Aurore Perreault), Fleurette (Gérard Cauchon), Jacqueline (Pierre Julien), Lilianne (Claude Lecavalier), Raymond (Louise Ouellet), Jean-Marc (Raymonde Douville), Diane L'Hébreux, Lise (Pierre Lampron) and Françoise (Raynald Trottier) and several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by three sisters, Evelyne, Florence, Doris; one brother, Léonard; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Yves Genest, Dorval Julien, Melvin Doucet, Marielle Julien, Marie-Ange Picard, Jean-Louis Julien, Rose-Aline Julien and a niece, France Julien and a nephew Claude Julien.
A special « Thank You » to the 4th floor medical team for the excellent care given during his stay.
Raymond was a former employee of Brunswick Mines and was a 3rd Degree member of the Knight of Columbus, Beresford.
The family will receive relatives and friends after 5:00 p.m. Wednesday (November 16, 2005) from Holy Name of Jesus Church, Beresford, until time of Funeral Mass at 6:00 p.m.
For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favourite charity.
