Bathurst - Alphonse Gauthier, 78, husband of Evangeline (Lagacé) Gauthier, of Victoria Ave., Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Sunday (13 November 2005) at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton.
Born in South Tetagouche, he was the son of the late Frederick and Brigitte (Pitre) Gauthier.
He worked Brunswick Mines for most of his life.

Blair Gauthier (Diane) and Gerald Gauthier (Denise Chiasson) of Bathurst.
Three daughters
Linda Drysdale (Bob) of Delhi, ON Ida Heritage of St. Thomas, ON Yvette Painchaud (Leon) of Drummondville, Que.
Six brothers,
Stanley Gauthier, (Florida) of Beresford Aurele Gauthier, (Irene, Freddy Gauthier, (Yvette), Leonard Gauthier, (Estelle), Lucien Gauthier and Alden Gauthier, all of Bathurst.
Six sisters,
Alma LeClair of Dalhousie, NB Beatrice Robichaud, (Percy), Yvonne Picot, (Aldor),Bertha Doucet, (John), Alice Doucet, (Frederick), Martha Hudon, all of Bathurst.
Eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by one daughter, Betty Lavigne, four brothers, Delphis, Wilfred, Edgar, Leon and one sister, Alfreda.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home.
Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home.
Funeral mass was celebrated from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Bathurst, on November 15th at 2 pm. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
