Big River - Theodore (Ted) Clement, 60, of Big River, died Saturday (October 4, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, following a lengthy illness.
Born in Hamilton, ON, he was the son of the late Theodore Paul and Grace (Curren) Clement.
He worked at Brunswick Mining, retiring in 1999 and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. A dedicated family man and devout Catholic who belonged to St. Theresa Parish in South Bathurst. He was a avid Car racing and Hockey fan, who loved golfing, and was not above being a prankster on occasions. He will be surely missed.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Carmella Luce in 1980.
He is survived by his wife, Norma LaPointe Clement

The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon (October 7, 2003) at 2:00 p.m. from St. Theresa Church, South Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Cancer Society, Diabetes Association, M.S. Society or a favorite charity.
