We, the family, wish to announce the passing of Mrs. Grace Thériault which occurred on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her residence, at the age of 94.

She was first married to the late Lewis Chiasson, followed by the late Roméo Thériault and the late Maurice Labossière.

Born in Tracadie, she was the daughter of the late Honoré and Lea (Kenny) Comeau.

She is survived by three daughters: Doris (John Calvert), Louise (Daniel Ninclaus), Anne-Marie (Keith Cook).

Three grandchildren: Brad, Jane, Amanda and two great-grandchildren: Dawson and Colsen.

Three sisters: Nora Sénécal, Laetitia Poitras (Guy) and Hilda Saucier, four brothers: Patrice (Claudette), Laurie (Lillian), Nelson (Thérèse) and Henry (late Freda).

Many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by sisters: Léanne and Mariette and brothers: Lorenzo, Ola and Louis René.

Grace was an active person who dedicated herself to many organizations, including: the Ladies Auxilary of the Royal Canadian Legion, the Foyer Notre Dame-de-Lourdes and with the pastoral team of the Chaleur Regional Hospital. She was a strong believer and enjoyed evening prayer groups. She also enjoyed going for walks with her friend, Don.

The family would like to thank Dr. Thibeault and the Extra Mural team for the excellent care given to Grace.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, May 8th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Extra Mural Program, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
