Bathurst- It is with deep sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden but peaceful passing of “Rose Marie” Eunice (nee Gaudet) Hamilton, 90, of Bathurst (previously of Campbellton) which occurred Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.

Eunice was born in 1932, in St. Nicholas, PEI, to her late parents, Arthur and Delima (nee DesRoches) Gaudet.

Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Hamilton and loving mother of Fred (Jeanne) McKiel, Darlene (Paul) McKiel both of Bathurst and Karen (Bill) McKiel Finlay of Kitchener, ON.

Also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren David (Kim) Caron of Bedford, NS, David (Kathleen) McKiel, Diane (Mike) McKiel Hampe both of Bathurst, Emma Ernst, Bradley (Marina) Finlay, Mitchel Finlay, Taylor Ernst all of Kitchener and Alexander Johnson of Bathurst.

Greatgrandchildren Jack and George Caron both of Bedford, NS, Gregory, Abigail and Julia McKiel, Harlyn and Mavrik Hampe all of Bathurst. Paisley Finlay of Kitchener, NS.

Numerous nephews, nieces, other extended family and many dear friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Eunice was predeceased by her son Danny McKiel, brother Martin and Adrian and sisters Mary, Leona, Rita, Celine and Dina.

There will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be held at Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 4th, 2023 at 11 am with the burial to follow at the Campbellton Rural Cemetery, 108 Duncan Street, Campbellton, at 2:30 pm.
