August 5th at Chaleur Regional Hospital

The family of Marie Dorothy Peter Paul would like to announce her death which occurred in Bathurst on August 5th. Dorothy was surrounded by family and friends as she passed peacefully at the age of 79.

She is survived by her sons Leonard (Tracy), Frederick, Edward (Diane), Ernie, Darrell, Wade, Stephen, and Jason. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is also survived by her eldest brother Benjamin Peter Paul and youngest sister Gloria Jean.

Dorothy will be remembered as an elder in the community of Pabineau First Nation where she worked many years as a community health worker up until her retirement. Dorothy will be missed by her family friends and her community.

There will be a traditional ceremony at Pabineau First Nation’s health center including a sacred fire where you can send prayers, share stories and reflect on her life. Visitation at the fire will be until Wednesday afternoon. Everyone is welcome to attend. Further and final ceremonies will be announced at a later date.
