Passed away on Friday September 8, 2023 at the Bathurst Regional Hospital at the age of 93. Born in Italy on March 1, 1930 in a farming village outside of Napoli, he lived under the terror of Mussolini’s fascist regime and the arrival of Allied forces. Arriving in Canada in the early 1950’s to work in the mines in Abitibi, later moving to the greater Toronto area where he mainly earned his living in the food/grocery sector. A few years ago he came to Bathurst with his wife, Raymonde Ouimet with whom he shared his life for nearly 30 years. He also leaves to mourn, his children, step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Before experiencing serious health problems a few years ago, he was also an elite gardener. He also enjoyed watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, SSC Napoli games and sports in general. We would like to thank the entire team at Chaleur Regional Hospital for their excellent care and service.
