Bathurst - Mrs. Pearl Theresa Duffy, 75, wife of the late John A. Duffy, of King Ave, Bathurst, passed away on Saturday (February 11, 2006) at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Ann (Sullivan) Hussey.
Pearl was a true volunteer, helping with various groups throughout the City. She was very proud of the volunteer work during the 2003 Bathurst-Campbellton Canada Winter Games. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus, Council 1935, past president and founding member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, secretary of the Maple Leaf Seniors Club, member of the Golden Age Club, Sacred Heart Cathedral C.W.L., the Hospital Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, John A. Duffy, one son, Joseph, two brothers, John, Ken, two sisters, Edna and Jean.
The body will rest after 7:00 p.m. Monday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday (February 15, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Holy Family Cemetery in the spring. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity. Visiting hours are Monday from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
