It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of Bruce Bennett which occurred suddenly in Toronto, Ontario, on Sunday November 5, 2023, at the age of 47.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Elizabeth Schumph, adopted father, Curtis Bennett and the late Frank Caissie.

Besides his parents of Rough Waters, he leaves behind the love of his life, his daughter Ocean Bennett of Bathurst.

The mother of his daughter Christa Coles of Newfoundland.

Step - Grandmother Violet Bennett of Alberta.

Several aunts, uncles, friends and cousins.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his grandparents: Sadie and Alex Caissie, Gladys and Garfield Schumph and step-grandfather Wally Armstrong and step- Grandfather Melvin “Red” Bennett.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. only, from Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. There will be no funeral service. Donations in memory of Bruce may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
