Bathurst - It is with great sadness we the family announce the passing of Barbara J. Hinton, which occurred on March 14th, 2024, after a brief illness at the age of 88 in Bathurst, NB. Predeceased by her husband Donald Hinton and daughter Susan.

She was the daughter of the late Munroe and Helen Kane.

Loving mother to Wayne (Pat), Ajax, ON; Deborah (John), Rusagonis, NB; Lance (Lori), Bathurst and Cindy (Paul) of Ajax, ON.

Proud Grandmother to Andrea (Ian), Laura (Chris), Jamie and Ashley. Great Grandmother to Brayden, Cole, Austin and Tyler.

Also survived by her brother Douglas Carr of Edmonton, AB.

Barbara was involved in many charitable organizations over the years, most recently she was involved with the Bathurst Heritage Museum.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home or funeral service at this time. In memory of Barbara, the family would appreciate a donation in her name to the charity of your choice.
