Beresford - Louis Arseneau, of Beresford, passed away Saturday August 17, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 86.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Tom and Jane (Lavigne) Arseneau.

Louis was retired from the former Smurfit Stone Paper mill in Bathurst.

Besides his spouse, Emelia (Boudreau) Arseneau, he is survived by two children:

Annette Stalkley (Jeff) of Edmonton, AB and

Paul Arseneau (Vivian) of Calgary, AB.

Three grandchildren: Tyler, Alyssa and Samantha.

Two sisters:

Freda of Florida and

Evangeline Aubie of Bathurst.

Several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Extra-Mural and Oasis de la Baie care home for the wonderful care given to Louis during his stay. In Memory of Louis, donations maybe made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.

There will be no visitations at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday August 27, 2024, at 2 p.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com).
