Bathurst – It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of our sister, Sandra (Aubé) Lavigne, of Bathurst, which occurred peacefully on Monday, September 23, 2024, at Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes at the age of 67.

Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Shirley (O’Neil) Aubé.

She is survived by a son, Mark Lavigne of Bathurst.

She also leaves to mourn her siblings: Linda (Michel) DeGrâce of Beresford, Michael (Kelley Hachey) of Saint Anne, Gloucester Co., John (Renée) of Beresford and Audrey (Andy) Scott of Canobie.

Her stepmother, Hilda (Godin) Aubé of Bathurst and stepsisters: Monique, Michelle and Carole.

As well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Sandra worked for Scotiabank, the Toronto Dominion Bank and finally the Federal Government. She was a member of the former Holy Family French Choir for several years and was an avid Boston Bruins fan.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11 a.m. from Elhatton’s Funeral Home Chapel (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.

The family would like to extend a sincere Thank You to Brise de l’Oasis for their compassion and care for the past couple of years.

Donations in memory of Sandra may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.
