It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Robert Ulric Doucet, which occurred following a lengthy illness at the Ruddy-Shenkman Hospice in Kanata, Ontario on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at the age of 59.
He was the son of Violette (Guitard) Doucet and the late Arnold Doucet.
Besides his mother of Petit-Rocher, he is survived by his son, Jesse of Montreal and his brothers and sisters: Joanne (Mac) Russell of Bathurst, Julie (Martin) Doucet and Claude (Nathalie) both of Petit-Rocher, Donald (Sylvie) and Sylvain (Sylvie) both of Pointe-Verte, Danny (Audrey) and Gilles (Denise) of Petit-Rocher Nord and Jean Guy (Julie) of Gatineau, QC.
He also leaves behind his Godson, Martin (Karine) Doucet of Moncton. In addition to his special niece, Danielle Doucet of Gatineau, who was so good to him as well as many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Arnold and sister-in-law, Marie.
Family was of great importance in Robert’s life. He was a big-hearted person and loved animals.
As per his wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. There will be a private service held in July 2025.
