Bathurst – Herman Duguay, 73, of Bathurst, better known as Champ, passed away Monday, December 9th, 2024, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Alphonse & Jeannette (Duclos) Duguay.
He retired from the former Coke-Cola bottling company.
He is survived by his children: Nathalie Tozer (Brad) of North Tetagouche, Melanie Comeau (Dominic) of Beresford and Rachel Chantal Duguay (Yvon Jean) of Big River.
Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Five brothers: Roger (Lillian), Ralph (Ruth) and Blair, all of Bathurst, Lionel (Sandra) of Rocky Mountain House, AB and Michel of Quispamsis; one sister: Linda Duguay of Bathurst as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a son, Michel, a sister, Yvonne and a brother, Denis.
The family would like to thank the staff of Residence McGraw, especially Nathalie Blanchard, for the care given to Herman during his stay.
There will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 2 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel, Bathurst. (www.elhatton.com)
