It is with deep sadness that the family wishes to announce the passing of Déa DeGrâce, wife of Roger DeGrâce, of Bathurst, on Sunday, December 8, 2024, surrounded by her family at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton at the age of 83.
Born in Beresford, she was the daughter of the late Richard Godin and the late Mildred Pitre.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roger DeGrâce, with whom she formed an exemplary couple for all who knew them.
She is also survived by a daughter, Carol DeGrâce of Moncton. A son, Marco DeGrâce of Moncton.
Two granddaughters, Mandy DeGrâce and Ève DeGrâce.
Two brothers: Jean-Guy Godin (Lorraine), Mario Godin (Solange); one sister: Kathy DeGrace (Clément).
Several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Beside her parents, she is now resting by her son, Paul and brothers: Anselme, Gerry and Jacques.
The family would like to thank the excellent service received from all the staff at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton.
Déa was a member of the Daughters of Isabella of Beresford.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Héritage Funeral Home (www.mfheriage.com) in Beresford on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Church in Bathurst on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11 a.m.
