Pointe-Verte – Robert Roy, of Pointe-Verte and formerly of Bathurst, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 66.

Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Léandre and Muriel (Peters) Roy. He is survived by a daughter and 6 grandchildren.

He is also survived by his brothers and sisters:

Margaret Chiasson (Amedée), Brenda Roy (Julien Hachey), Stephen Roy (Brandi Sylvestre), Donna Roy (Roger Theriault), Marlene Roy (Barry Legacy) and Darlene Roy (Steve Boudreau) all of Bathurst andSandra Roy (late Walter Coombs Jr.) of Pokeshaw.

Many nieces and nephews.

He is now resting with his son Christopher and his parents.

Donations in memory of Robert can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or a charity of the donor’s choice.

There will be no visitation or funeral. A graveside service will be held later in the Spring. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
