Bathurst - William Schoolcraft, 81, of Coffyn Cres., Bathurst, passed away Friday, June 9, 2006, suddenly after a brief illness, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Boston, Mass, he was the son of the late Royce and Cecilia (Boyle) Schoolcraft.
He served in the Armed Forces for most of his life and was a decorated Veteran of World War II and the Korean War serving with the R.C.N.V.R as well as with the R.C.A. He was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
Besides his wife, Patricia (LaPointe) Schoolcraft, he is survived by:

Penny Schoolcraft of Campbellton
Patty-Anne Legacy (Michel) of North Tetagouche
Faye Coombs of Bathurst
Seven grandchildren; Jillian, Dana, Ryan, Eric, James, Rene and Jarret.
One brother:
Bob Good (Eileen) of Saint John, NB
One sister:
Lois Dawe (Arthur) of St. Sophie, Que.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, Harold.
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (June 12, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a favorite charity.
