God called a special Angel home on Wednesday, July 5th 2006, Pat Doucet, wife of Lionel Doucet of O'Neil Drive, Bathurst, passed away at the Chaleur regional Hospital in Bathurst after a brief illness. Born in Detroit, Michigan, USA on March 6th 1924, she was the daughter of the late Mary (Kenny) and the late Patrick Augustine Brennan. A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy and Hotel Dieu School of Nursing, she worked in the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Bathurst, Toronto General Hospital, Mt. Sinai Hospital in Toronto and the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst. She retired in 1988 after many years of working with newborns in the nursery. Pat was a member of the Holy Family CWL and the Retired Nurses Association. A loving & devoted wife, mother and grandmother Pat is survived by her husband of 58 years Lionel Doucet and 7 children: Calvin (Bonnie Lebans) Bathurst, John (Pauline) St. John's NFLD, Bev Palmer (Dan) Ottawa, Karen Stubbert (Sheldon) Moncton, Paula Wilson (Richard) Ottawa, Bernie (Heather) Whitehorse, Alan (Cindy) Bathurst, 13 grandchildren; brother Bernie (Bonnie) Brennan Aylmer PQ and several nieces and nephews to whom she was affectionately known as Mommy Pat. She was predeceased by an infant son Lionel Patrick, brothers John (Jack) Brennan, Brian Brennan and sister Mary Kathryn (Kay) Brennan. Visitations are at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St.George St., Bathurst (www.elhatton.com) Friday 7 July 2006. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 8 July 2006 at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave. Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
