Bathurst - George Brown, 85, of Brown Court, Bathurst, passed away on Friday (September 1, 2006) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Robert and Grace (Carter) Brown. He worked as a General Contractor in the Bathurst area for most of his life. He is survived by his wife, Rita Golden Two sons: Edgar Brown (Helen) of Bathurst Robert Brown of Dalhousie Three daughters: Shirley Allain (Raymond), Judy Fortin and Gail Payne (Frederick), all of Bathurst One brother: Clinton Brown (Dorothy) of Bathurst 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by 4 sisters; Ellen Hodgins, Margaret Hodgins, Alice Williamson and Lillian Chamberlain. The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be held on Monday afternoon (September 4, 2006) at 2:00 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
