Helen Meahan, 82, of Riverside Dr., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (September 6, 2006) at Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Dolly (Doyle) Meahan. She worked as an Administrative Secretary for Domtar Research Center in Ste. Anne de Bellevue, Que. She is survived by: One sister: Catherine Dewar of Calabogie, ON. Several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by sisters; Noreen, Delia, and brothers; Charles, Henry and Cyril. The body will be rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (September 9, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, St. Peter Ave., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
