Bathurst - Mrs. Constance “Connie” MacKay, 75, wife of the late Frederick "Freddie" MacKay, of Queen Elizabeth Dr., Bathurst, passed away suddenly at her residence on Sunday (September 10, 2006).
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Hazel (Jamieson) Tower.
She attended Mt. Alison University and worked for a time with the Royal Bank, the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill and at Tower Jewelers. She was on the Ways and Means Committee of the First United Church and was an avid Bridge player.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Frederick "Freddie" MacKay, in 2001.

Two daughters:
Donna MacKay and
Wendy Sullivan (Frank), both of Bathurst
One brother:
Ian Tower (Lois) of Bathurst
Dedicated grandmother to Kelli (Todd) Tilson, Karen, Matthew, Megan and great-grandmother to Katie, Thomas, Niklas, several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Mac.
By family request there will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday (September 13, 2006) at 4:00 p.m. from the First United Church, St. Patrick St., Bathurst. Interment to follow in the West Bathurst United Cemetery, St. Anne St. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
