Bathurst - Medric Saulnier, 79, of Stacey Mill Court, Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (November 15, 2006), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
Born in Tracadie-Sheila, he was the son of the late Fred and Délia (Dignard) Saulnier.
Medric served in World War II, with the North Shore Regiment of the Royal Canadian Army and was a member of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst. He worked for General Motors in Terry Town, NY, for 20 years. He was a past member of the Chaleur Regional Hospital Board, Road Builders Association, member of the U.C.T. Bathurst Council #827 and was the founder and president of North Shore Welding Supply Ltd.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Bella (Duclos) Saulnier.
He is survived by his wife, Cécile (Benoit) Saulnier.

Four grandchildren; Krista, Vanessa, Brittany and Spencer.
Several nieces and nephews.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (November 18, 2006) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Burial will be in the Sheila Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
