Bathurst - Albanie "Ti Gas" Cormier, husband of Dorothy Cormier of Rough Waters Drive, Bathurst passed away at the Chaleur Regional Hospital on Tuesday 13th February, 2007 at the age of 79.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Leonard and Lucille (Robichaud) Cormier.
Albanie "Ti Gas" began his working career at Lanes Bakery selling bread. He was also an insurance agent for the Prudential Insurance Company. He became a prominent businessman when he opened and managed City Glass Ltd. in 1970. Upon his retirement at the age of 63, Ti-Gas enjoyed woodworking, gardening, salmon fishing and spending time at his camp on the Nepisiguit River.

Albanie was pre-deceased by two brothers Claude and Levi Cormier.
There will be no visitations at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday 16th February from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst at 2:00 p.m. Burial will in the St. Mary's Cemetery in East Bathurst in the spring. A donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donors choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
