Bathurst - Jeremie 'Jerry' Gallagher, 62, of Chamberlain Lane, Bathurst, husband of Ann Gallagher, died Friday (December 19, 2003) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of Cecilia (Chamberlain) (Gallagher) Legacy and the late Bernard Gallagher.
He was employed with Brunswick Mines for 26 years and was a member of the company's Quarter Century Club. He was an avid bowler.
Besides his wife the former Ann Sullivan, and his mother of Bathurst, he is survived by:
3 Sons: Bernard Gallagher of Ontario, Jeremie Gallagher (Lynn) of Jacquet River, Robert Gallagher at home
3 Grandchildren; Alexander, Victoria and Kelsey.
2 Brothers: Bill Gallagher (Claudette) and David Legacy (Chriss) both of Bathurst
Mother-in-law: Violette Sullivan of Janeville
Several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by his step-father; Alex Legacy and a brother; Gregory.
The body rested at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday morning (December 22, 2003) at 11:00 a.m. from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rough Waters Dr., Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, St. Mary's Ave.
