Bathurst - John Gallagher, 80, of Model Ave., Bathurst, passed away suddenly on Tuesday (November 13, 2007) at his residence.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late William R. and Ina (White) Gallagher.
He worked for the former Consolidated Bathurst Paper Mill for over 40 years and was a member of the company’s Quarter Century and also volunteered at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst.
He was predeceased by his wife, Lorette (Vienneau) Gallagher in September of this year.

9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was pre-deceased by a daughter; Marie at birth, sister; Blanche Hurst, brothers; Bernard, Oscar, Albert.
The body will rest after 2:00 p.m. Friday at Elhatton's Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday morning (November 17, 2007) at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Family Church, Bathurst. Burial will be in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, East Bathurst. Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral.
