Bathurst - The death of E. Leslie Tozer, of O’Neil Ave., Bathurst, beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth (Hogbin) Tozer occurred peacefully on Monday November 26, 2007 at their home. Born on July 6, 1920 in Newcastle, N.B. he is the son of the late Byron Alvin Tozer of Newcastle, NB and Janet Ann (Cook) Tozer of Black Lands, NB
Leslie was a well known local building contractor who was actively involved in the community and his church.
He entered the RCAF in 1941 and served in England and South East Asia until 1945. He continued to be involved and was a member of the local branch of the Herman J. Good, V.C. Br. 18, Royal Canadian Legion, Bathurst.
He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Mary E Tozer; one daughter Lesley E. Lord (Bernard) of Saint John, NB; one son, David W. Tozer (Valerie) of Bathurst, NB; and three grandchildren Rebekah, Stuart and Kathleen Tozer. He was predeceased by two sisters Helen Fenwick (Hoyt) and Vivian Campbell (Robert).
There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday (December 1, 2007) at 3:00 p.m. from the Bayview Baptist Church, O’Neil Dr., Bathurst. For anyone wishing to send tokens of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, Herman J.
