It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of Odille (Aubé) Melanson of Bathurst, which occurred June 6, 2010 at Chaleur Regional Hospital Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Larry and Caroline (Comeau) Aubé.
She is survived by her loving husband, Louis Melanson of 64 years.

Yvette (Hubert Mazerolle) of Miramichi City
Sr. Patricia Melanson FMA of Bathurst,
Joanne (Carl Nickum) of Bathurst;
Four sons:
Gregory (Anne Marie) and
Roger (Florence) of Bathurst
Louie (Yvonne) of Newfoundland,
Tommy (Barbara) of Winnipeg;
extended member of family, a niece; Juanita More (nee Christie) of Hamilton, ON
14 grandchildren : Lisette, Monique, Danielle, Lisa, Rebecca, Michel, Peter, Patsy Anne, Jill, Robin, Craig, Matthew, Jeremy, Joshua, 15 great grandchildren who loved and will miss her very much.

Pre deceased by 1 sister; Martina, 3 brothers; Aurele “Howie”, Lucien and Larry.
She worked at Pitrie Grocery Store, taught Sunday school classes for many years at South Bathurst School and later at St. Theresa Church. She was a member of the CWL for 56 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxilary of the First South Bathurst Boy School Troop.
She spent many hours on the lakes and rivers casting her line in hopes of catch the biggest trout with her husband and friends. She was also a great cook and was known by many of her friends and friends of her children for her brownies, peanut butter cookies and caramel squares. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Visitations will start after 2 p.m. on Wednesday from Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday (June 10, 2010) at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Cathedral, St. Andrew St., Bathurst. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of Funeral. Donations in memory of Odille may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
