Bathurst - Mrs. Mary Ethel Gladys Doucet, 83, wife of the late Henry Doucet, of the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes and formerly of East Bathurst, which occurred Wednesday (May 12, 2004) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a lengthy illness. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Angelina (Doucet) Boucher. She was pre-deceased by her husband Henry Doucet. She is survived by: 5 Sons: Roger Doucet (Dorina) of Montreal, Que. Jean-Claude Doucet (Charlotte), Ronald Doucet (Connie), Sylvio Doucet (Linda) and Gilbert Doucet (Denise), all of Bathurst. 1 Daughter: Claudette Smith (Jimmy) of Bathurst 10 grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie), Manon (Rodney), Natacha (David), Nathalie, Jeannot, Jeffrey, René (Jennifer), Denis, Nicole and Danny (Karen). 3 Sisters: Odis Poirier, Yvette Christie (Alban), and Leona Bourque (Adrien), all of Bathurst 5 Brothers: Lionel Boucher, Arthur Boucher, Clifford Boucher (Doris), Delphis Boucher (Irene), and Ralph Doucet (Aline), all of Bathurst Several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by 5 brothers, Douglas, Omer, Aurel, Ralph & Roger; 2 sisters, Mathilda Doucet and Evangeline Couture. The body is resting at Elhatton's Funeral Home, Bathurst. Funeral Services will be held on Friday afternoon (Mary 14, 2004) at 1:30 p.m. from Elhatton's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Mary's Ave., Bathurst.
