The death of Mrs. Mary Lindsay, 76, of St. Peter Ave., Bathurst, occurred April 22, 2004 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Belledune, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Emma Jean (Miller) Ellis. Prior to her retirement she was a schoolteacher and worked as a office clerk at the former W.J. Kent Co. and lastly at the Kent Motel. Her husband John Lindsay died in 1997 She is survived by: 2 Daughters: Joyce Lindsay of Bathurst Hannah Stewart (John) of Fletchers Lake, NS 1 Sister: Cora Lindsay (late David) of Bathurst 4 Brothers: Norman of Belledune Charles (Helen) of Bathurst Roland (Peggy) of Bathurst Gregory (Lois) of Belleville, Ontario 1 Granddaughter: Lindsay Stewart of Halifax Predeceased by: Sisters: Margaret Jagoe Bernice Hinton Opal McCormick Betty Colpitts Brothers: George Raymond Arthur The body rested at Elhatton Funeral Home, 187 St. George St., Bathurst. Funeral service was held from the First United Church, Bathurst. Interment will be held at a later date in the church cemetery.
