Bathurst, NB – Harold “Hank” Thomas Vienneau, 95, of Rough Waters Drive, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Thomas and Matilda (Vienneau) Vienneau.
He worked as an auto mechanic, spending many years with Stothart Toyota in Bathurst. He was also an avid musician who recorded much of his own country music at his home and played with local musicians until his seventies
He was pre-deceased by two brothers; Arnold (Thérèse Doucet) and Ernest (Irene McLaughlin) both of Bathurst; and by one sister; Berthilde Vienneau (Ivrice) of Bathurst.
He is survived by his wife Marguerite (Boucher) Vienneau (Oswal); one brother, Elmer (Hélène Lavigne) of Bathurst; two sisters, Gladys Boudreau (Valmond) and Frances Wasney (Harry) both of Bathurst; two step-children, Eugene (Gabrielle) Vienneau of Bathurst and Julie Dinan (Jim) of Miramichi; and by five step-grandchildren, Lucy Vienneau of Pokemouche, Marc Vienneau of Fredericton, Glen Vienneau of Bathurst, Jaime McGrath (Larry) of Miramichi and Natalie MacDonald (Shawn) of Bay de Vin; and several cousins, nephews, nieces and step-great grandchildren.
Funeral mass will be celebrated (August 3rd, 2010) at 11 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst, with Father Wesley Wade officiating. Readings will be done by his nephew Greg Boudreau and by his step-daughter Gabrielle Vienneau.
After cremation, his ashes will be buried next to his father’s remains at the St. Mary's Cemetery, East Bathurst. Arrangements were the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
