Mrs. Anita (Nettie) Sealy, wife of the  late Herbert Sealy of Bathurst passed away peacefully on January 11, 2011 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in her 91st year.   Born in New Bandon, she was the daughter of the late Perkins & Mary-Jane (Knowles) Hornibrook.  Loving mother of three daughters:  Ellen (Willard) MacKay of Miramichi City, Rosemary (David) Ronalds of Port Alberni, BC, Kimberly (Jim) Jack of Seattle, WA.  Three sons, Robert (Jean) of Sackville, David of Bathurst, Doug (Beth) of Dartmouth, NS.  One sister Wyona (Carson) Daley of Bathurst, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  

Nettie taught school in Clifton, Canobie, Janeville, Salmon Beach, and retired as Vice Principal at Mary Gosnell School in 1981.  She was a member of the First United Church and the Retired Teachers Association.  She was pre-decreased by four sisters; Jean, Thelma, Edrea and Anna and two brothers; Jim and Herb.

The body is resting at the Elhatton’s Funeral Home, Bathurst with visiting hours on Friday, January 14th from 2 -4pm and 7-9pm.  The funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15th at 11am at First United Church, Bathurst.
