Middle River - Mrs. Carmel Daigle, wife of Claude Daigle, of Middle River, passed away on Wednesday (February 2, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, at the age of 69.

Born in Petit-Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Alma (Duguay) Lavigne.

Besides her husband of 49 years, she is survived by:  Two sons; Paul (Kristina) and Steven both of Moncton.  One daughter; Micheline Vienneau (Richard) of Bathurst.  4 grandchildren; Anthony, Cody, Janie and Jacob.  Two sisters; Lorraine Arseneau (Allan) of Toronto, ON, Murielle St-Pierre (Daniel) of Riverview, NB.  One brother; Peter Lavigne (Elita) of Bathurst.  Several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 from the Gospel Light Baptist Church, 1365 Big River Road.  Funeral Service will be held on Saturday (February 5, 2011) at 11 a.m. from the Gospel Light Baptist Church, Big River.  Donations in memory of Carmel may be made to the Gospel Light Baptist Church to support their Missions Program or a favorite charity.  Arrangements are the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst.
