Bathurst- The Death of Sister Marie Melanie Lavoie, R.H.S.J., 103 yrs., and 11 months of 2144 Vallée Lourdes Dr., Bathurst which occurred at the infirmary of the Religieuses Hospitalières de St.Joseph on Saturday 26 June 2004. Born in Rogersville, she was the daughter of the late Francis Lavoie and the late Marie Aucoin. Sr. Mélanie Lavoie has devoted 79 years as a member of the congregation. Besides her religious family, many nieces and nephews survive her. The body is resting at the Maison Notre Dame de l'Assomption, 2144 Vallée Lourdes Drive, Bathurst. Funeral will be celebrated Wednesday 30 June 2004 from the Chapel of the Religieuses Hospitalières de St. Joseph at 3:30 p.m. Interment will be in the congregational cemetery, Vallée Lourdes Drive, Bathurst. Arrangements are in the care of Elhatton Funeral Home.
