Bathurst – Vina Lavigne, 83, of Bathurst passed away on Saturday (October 1st, 2011) at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
Born in Bathurst she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Merilda (Aubie) Lavigne.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Gilbert Lavigne and one sister Dorothy Malley.
She is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Lavigne and Yvonne Doucet, three grandchildren, Andre (Donna) of Dieppe, N.B., Christopher (Rachel) of London, Ont., and Daniel of Bathurst, three great grandchildren, Trevor, Colin and Oliver. She is also survived by 6 brothers, Clarence (Elvira), Cletus (Judy), Cleo (Christine) all of Bathurst, Bernie (Lois), Gerald (Irene), Edward (Mary) all of Montreal; and by 2 sisters, Rita Martin of Mississauga, Ont., Bernice Hachey of Bathurst; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 4th at 11 am at Sacred Heart Cathedral on St. Andrew Street in Bathurst. Donations in memory of Vina may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
